A .750 PERCUSSION SINGLE-SHOT MUSKET FOR THE EAST INDIA COMPANY, MODEL 'NEPALESE ISSUE PATTERN 'D', no visible serial number,
circa 1841/42, with round iron 39in. barrel, block fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight with stepped base, knock-off breech with solid top-tang, old style flat lock of flint form marked with the E.I.C. 'rampant lion' trademark, walnut full-stock with brass furniture, the heel-plate and trigger guard with farsi markings and original iron ramrod with squared shaft behind head

Provenance: This musket was hand selected by the vendor from the original shipment of guns destined for the USA which originated at the Royal Armoury of Nepal housed in the palace at Lagan Silekhana in Kathmandu. Despite containing over 430 tons of arms, the 'C', 'D', & 'E' pattern muskets were most uncommon
